YouTube launched its Screening Room channel in June, offering a place for select independent films to be available to a worldwide audience for free. So far, they only have short films. Princess of Nebraska will be the first feature-length film by a studio released on YouTube.
The film is about a foreign exchange student from China who travels from Nebraska to San Francisco to get an abortion. It premieres free of charge on YouTube October 17th. Don't look for Hollywood movies to adopt this practice, though...
