This Friday, the Star Wars character everyone would rather forget is making a return on the Cartoon Network show The Clone Wars in their 8th episode, "Bombad Jedi." Yes, prepare for half an hour of Gungan mishap as Jar Jar Binks stumbles into your TV set.

In the episode, Padme had been captured by the Separatists, so it's up to C-3PO and Jar Jar Binks to rescue her. In a comedic plot, the Separatist army mistakes Jar Jar for a Jedi Knight.

Like in the prequels and all his appearances in Star Wars video games, Jar Jar is voiced by Ahmed Best.

Does anyone really watch The Clone Wars outside of the kid demo? I originally planned to like the good Star Wars geek that I am, but after some soul searching, I realized that in the life of a man, there comes a time when he must put his foot down and say, "Enough of your shit, George. Just... Just stop it." After the critical mauling of the theatrically-released pilot, I haven't really heard any good things said about the show (apparently everyone and their mother wants Anakin's annoying padawan killed).

I'm still a big fan of the 2003 Clone Wars series by Genndy Tartakovsky, and it's really a shame that they didn't get him back for this, I don't know, some kind of remake, even though they've admitted to copying the character designs of that series.

Ironically, Jar Jar's return is as good a reason as any to give the show a try.

Yes, actually, everyone I know watches the show. From my standpoint, when I read the whiny fans who still say that they think George Lucas has ruined "Star Wars," I just want to put my foot down and say, "Enough of your s**t. Just ... just stop it." It's utterly ridiculous that you're still pining over a moderately well-animated show that aired in tiny little chunks five years ago. (I remember pretty much tuning out mentally after the first episode introduced a "banking planet." Huh?! An "ice planet" is crazy enough. A "banking planet"?!?!) By not tuning into "The Clone Wars" on Cartoon Network, you're missing a hell of a good TV show that provides genuine "Star Wars" fun and actually moves "Star Wars" in a different direction. Fans like you once claimed that's what you wanted from "Star Wars." After all these years, I think what you really want is just to sit home with "The Empire Strikes Back," some hand lotion and a wash cloth, and tell off everyone who gets pleasure from any other aspect of "Star Wars."

I know many kids and adults who watched "THE CLONE WARS" in theaters and thought it was a good beginning to the tv series. It gave us a glimps of what is to come. The cartoon show is actually better that the past two movies, this is what fans have been wanting to see ever since Obi-Wan told Luke Skywalker he was once fought in the Clone Wars.

I thought when the first Clone Wars cartoons came out in 2003 were very disappointing. This new series makes up for it with lots of action, fun, and adventure.

For the next installment of the Clone Wars series it is about time Jar Jar Binks made his appearance. You have to remember without Jar Jar Binks there would be no Empire. Jar Jar is a very important character in the Star Wars universe. I think people need to stop their complaining about Jar Jar Binks and give him the passion he deserves.

and people need to stop b***hing about George Lucas. If you do not like it then do not watch. George Lucas would not be making more Star Wars if the fans, the true fans did not want it and ask for it.

how can you say this show is good, i stupidly watched the Jar Jar Jedi episode and lets just say 'it sucked!!' plot line was infantile.even the animation looked bad, i wont ever watch one again, the original clone wars cartoon was brilliant, but apparently too clever for its own good,Lucas's appeal seems to have narrowed to the mentally dumbest elements in society in his attempts to gain more money for his franchise.
